Our Services

Airdrie Care Community is a Designated Supportive Living community, offering 24-hour care from personal support workers and licensed nurses.

We are managed by Connecting Care, Alberta’s leading senior living provider.

Professional Health Care at Airdrie Care Community

Professional Health Care

Residents are cared for by a healthcare team that includes Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and Health Care Aids (HCAs).

Supportive living residents also have access to specialized services including Occupational Therapy, Practical Therapy, Social Services, and Dietician Services.

Eden Model of Care

Airdrie Care Community follows the Eden Model of Care. This philosophy supports our residents to continue to be active, healthy, contributing members of their community.

We are managed with a hospitality perspective focused on wellness rather than illness. We provide individuals with choices and believe that medical treatment is the servant of genuine human caring, rather than its master.

The Eden Model of Care believes that when an individual’s ability to contribute is recognized, the years to come can be a time of meaningful activities and satisfying personal growth.

Personal Care

Our team provide courteous, gentle assistance with bathing, toileting, exercise, incontinence management, personal hygiene, grooming and dressing. Medication support and assistance with oxygen therapy are provided as needed.

Designated Supportive Living (DSL) and Memory Care

Adults living in Designated Supportive Living (DSL) need significant support for many aspects of daily living, such as preparing meals, bathing, and grooming.

The DSL program is offered in partnership with Alberta Health Services. Eligibility is determined through an assessment process by AHS.

Designated Supportive Living services include:

  • Personal care as determined by your Alberta Health Services individual care plan
  • All meals
  • Wellness checks
  • Plenty of recreational opportunities
  • Linen and housekeeping services
  • Optional services: personal laundry, internet, cable, telephone, and hair styling

Are you ready to start the process?

The first step is to call Alberta Health Services at 403-943-1920 and answer series of questions on the phone to register for Home Care.

After that, you will be assigned an AHS Continuing Care Case Manager in your community, who will guide you through the process, assist with Designated Supportive Living program and help to choose a seniors community to live in.

Food Service

We prepare high-quality cuisine in our on-site kitchen and serve our residents in their cottage dining area. Residents of each cottage dine together for meals creating a warm, family atmosphere. Residents have access to snacks and beverages throughout the day in their cottage kitchen and are always welcome to help themselves. Airdrie Care Community does not work with large corporate food delivery systems. Instead, we create unique menus emphasizing local flavours and incorporating locally grown seasonal produce.
Special Diets
Special preparations (mincing, pureeing, etc.) and special dietary requirements (for diabetes, celiac, allergies, etc.) will be accommodated.
